Crack
site specific video loop duration variable, silent 2019
In each version of this work a shot is made of a crack in the building. The crack itself may be visible or obscure; every building will contain a flaw whether big or small. Even the most recent will contain a crack somewhere in its structure. This crack recording is then played back on a small screen mounted on a wall of the building. In the version pictured below the crack is 4 metres long in the gallery floor. It is covered in a single shot and displayed on a small screen on an adjacent gallery wall. Shibboleth
